Australia | Melbourne Part 1

Australia | Melbourne Part 1

Off to Melbourne!

Just not the biggest fan of the salad there but the Banana and Cream ice cream really tasted like banana bread.

Having being delayed and already late to Melbourne and long queue renting a car at the airport, driving though the city in the dark dark night arriving at the hotel near to 3am. Up and ready the next day by 8ish, after breakfast, we managed to catch a little bit of sleep before we went to meet up with some friends and headed to the Victoria Market area in down town Melbourne.

Outfit :
Dress French Connection | Cardigan and Shoes HM | Backpack American Vintage

All fresh and local produces

Not too late to still buy some flowers for Valentines Day

After a little walk around Victoria Market, we made our way to Lygon Street where I believe it's called the Little Italy of Melbourne. Since it was a whole street of Italian food and it was Valentine's Day, we settled for Mercadante. Table full of food, bellies' all filled, then off we went to the Sea Life Aquarium.

I could not resist an ice cream on the way to the Aquarium on a hot summers day. First round! Coffee flavor. A bit of a sugar rush will always help since few of us did only have a few hours sleep the night before (I mean this morning).

I thought this croc was a fake... Turns out, I was totally wrong and it's as real as it gets...

HAPPY FEET MOMENT to end the tour at Sea Life. Then we headed over to Rockpool for dinner and the area around Crown Casino really is massive.

Some good looking chefs at the open kitchen. Shouldn't they be concentrating instead?! The one of the left even posed.

Not only it's Valentine's day, its also Chinese New Year and while we were having dinner, we managed to view a little of the firework just outside the restaurant. After a long long day, we headed back to the hotel and I fell straight asleep after getting some PJs on. Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day with or without a partner, we all have friends and family whom we can also celebrate this day with. Happy Chinese New Year to my fellow Chinese/Asian readers and wishing you all the best in health and happiness! Better late than never! Hope everyone had a nice holiday with plenty of rest and red pockets (;
