Foodie Vancouver

You can definitely tell when a Disney cruise is at port when you see more kids than usual around the area.

Amongst my friends who are total stylish travellers, I'm tend to lean towards comfort instead of style. Personally, I don't think I'm stylish at all but when you're walking around town all day and sweating like a beaver, I like to work in layers more.

Gastown Steam Clock. Built in 1977, not entirely powered by steam, it still operates with two internal fans with three small motors. Steam is blown out from the top and another controls the valves playing the musical tune mounted at the top of the clock case. Plays about once ever quarter of an hour.

Within the little area Gastown, it's also known for their one of a kind galleries, fashion boutiques and even a culinary affair. Check the area out and take your time to walk around. Its lovely strolling along with a cuppa coffee.

We headed back to Granville Island for lunch, checking out what Edible Canada (Bistro) had to offer. It's pretty packed for a Monday afternoon too. Better get a reservation if you're up for it!

Right next to the entrance is the open kitchen and you can order take-out just outside. Seen a few groups of people ordering and the food came out smelling very delicious.

So after lunch, we had a walk around the other side of Granville Island which we didn't explore. If you're interested in sailing out or even water sports, there are quite a few to choose from.

Walked right into a shop and found these animal pillows. I was so tempted to get a few pug ones for my pug lover friends. For one thing, they all look so sleepy and they're actually quite huggable.

After a quick meet up with some family friends over an afternoon tea, we headed out to Nanaimo, Horseshoe Bay Park. If you're lucky, you might even see a few seals around like we did.
