Windy Whistler

Windy Whistler

Best cold cure.

First thing we did after getting ourselves up at the mountain was to grab some grub. Don't be surprised if it gets cold up there! I was practically freezing! Better grab a wind-proof jacket during the spring and summer seasons too. There are jackets available to buy up at the Roundhouse Lodge, but if you do have your own one... Bring it! Making that mistake thinking the weather was so warm down at the village...don't... take my word for it.

As for food, after getting off the first trip of the gondola up at Whistler Mountain, we opted for the Roundhouse Lodge : Steeps Grill and Wine Bar. High up in the mountains and I can already imagine the snowy view at the top. If they still have these on the menu and I get to go back again, it's definitely an order must!

Charcuterie For Two | Coastal Nicoise
British Columbia Inspired 'Poutine"
with Braised Beef Brisket 4oz
Definitely try this on the menu "Bristish Bolumbia Inspired 'Poutine'"! Cheesy fries hot out from the oven poured over with tender and melting braised beef brisket right on top. Now, a cold cold winter, snow falling outside, plus a good hot apple cider (alcoholic... not the kiddy ones) or even a mulled wine would have been the perfect day with this for me.

Taking the gondola from Peak 2 Peak

We ending up taking the chair lift back down and the view back down was even better.

After being save back on ground, we headed back to Vancouver and met up with some friends for dinner. Along the way back from Whistler, there are a few stops on the way to take photos of the snowy mountains and lakes. Don't miss out on those signs!!

The view is just as good on the way back to Vancouver
