PMQ : Design Market

PMQ : Design Market

Melissa Bui
What The Frock ?
Had a quick browse around in
Bread and Butter

For you fashionistas out there in Hong Kong who loves to have a look for new higher end local designers, PMQ is the place to go. Up in Soho, built as the Police Married Quarters (hence the name PMQ), the site has been converted to what it is now, a preservation of the site, as well as a central for luxury brands aimed interantionally. Just 2 weekends ago, I went to the Design Market at the end of August and actually did found quite a few interesting designers. Surprisingly, one of the designers is actually my sister's old classmate from LCF (London College of Fashion) back in London. Melissa's design has really butterflied with elegance and still loving her embellishments. Click (here) to check her website out!

When I went by What the Frock, all I saw were happy colours which was much needed in my wardrobe. I've actually been checking out their online web too! (click here)

One thing I love about fashion are the accessories choices out there, I think it's one of those items which can really complete an outfit too. So while I was just looking around at each stall, I stumbled upon a jeweller.
STOREY by Storey (click here) They may not be the statement pieces you were thinking about but sometimes, dainty and simplicity does the trick. I'm personally a big fan of long and thin chain necklaces like theirs.

If you wanna check out when the next Design Market at PMQ is check out their website on http://www.pmq.org.hk/happenings/programmes-events. As well as other exhibition and even sales promotion at the location. Personally, I'm quite interested in their Workshop which they provide too! So check them out if you're in the area!

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment !

Should definitely visit! I won't suggest summer times though... it can get a bit too hot and humid. xxx
