January Favorites

Can't believe the first month of the year just went by with a blink of an eye! This January, I just decided to go back to basics, sometimes less is more right? Speaking of less, I probably went completely bare on the makeup side because I was flu'd up for about 2 weeks! What a way to start the new year too. And my favorite drink has definitely been Lemon and Honey with hot water. The honey I used was Meltiva's Organic Acacia Honey, nectar from French acacia flowers and it's organic, plus its a natural sweetener perfect for a sweet tooth like myself. Can't go wrong with it right?

On the back to basics note, every morning and night, this is the lip balm that's kept my lips very hydrated and it's literally become a part of my daily essential product. Also by Melvita, the 3 Honeys Nectar SOS Balm, not only delightful on the lips with a sweet orange and honey scent, I haven't had to do any lip masks or what so ever apart from the occasional lip scrub. It's been great on dry patches on my skin as well. The only thing I don't like about it is quite the obvious... it's in a tub and it kind of reminded me Vasaline but with a heavenly scent. For it's price, and the amount of usage, I haven't used half the tub yet and its been about 3 months.

There's no denying that nude colours are on the list, I've been obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Smokey Nudes Eye Palette. A little bit of soft matte and shimmery colours all in a box. I love that I can get a contoured eye day look to a smokey eye with a bit of  sparkle too! Pretty nice for my office girls which I've also recommended to.

I've never really hit pan on most bronzers unless I really love it that much and this is one of it! You'll probably have seen me mentioning about Physicians Formula's Bronze Booster in previous posts. I've got it in the shade Light to Medium so I can build the colour up when I want to look more tanned than the every day natural look. But like I said, this month, I've been gravitating towards the au natural look. Hopefully I can stock this up soon when I travel! It's hard to find a good bronzer which doesn't make me look like a glitter ball and just gives the right amount of glow. For a drugstore product, I'm definitely keeping it in my kit! The only thing I don't like about the packaging is how bulky it can be.

The last two products have definitely become a staple in my makeup routine. I use the L'Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in black, for my tight line. I do get watery eyes and through out the day, some of the product will eventually fade and smudge. But for the most of it, the liner's stayed put apart from the outer corner of my eyes after a long long day. I've also mentioned the Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in #1 Beige Shine (in Hong Kong, you can purchase Clio at BeautIQ by Watsons) before to hightlight the inner corner of my eyes and it makes me look more awake!

Also been absolutely loving Maroon 5's song Sugar !

What are your favs this month?
