Valentine's Makeup Look

Valentine's Makeup Look

Valentine's Day is just this weekend. If you have a date, great! If you don't, go grab your friends and have a glass of rose! But to be honest, you don't need this one day to tell someone you love them everyday. Still! Makeup is always fun to play around with.

To some of my friends who think I look slightly different is because I've been trying out a new pair of colour contacts! Its called LILMOON in Creme Beige, these are daily colour contacts, very comfortable to wear and doesn't feel drying to my eyes either.

Do your usual base makeup the way you like to have it, I wanted my skin to breath so I mainly used more concealer instead of a foundation for a more natural looking skin. Powdered the eyes and T-zone area to keep my oiliness at bay and most importantly, an eye primer, keeping the eyeshadow locked in place all day. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to touch my makeup through out the day, so I make sure I use products which I know will work and stay in place all day long!

Keeping it soft and romantic, blending is key.

The main plumy colours are from Kiko Cosmetic's Color Fever Eyeshadow Palette in Coral Burgandy (101) . I tend to use a M.A.C 217 brush to blend and a small pencil brush to drag the colours down onto my bottom half lower lash line. Mainly using Lorac Pro Palette's for base, transitional and blending colours. I only used the smallest amount of Sable to darken the outer V of my eyes even more. Seems like a lot of colours to use, but I do love to layer the colours on little by little.

To brighten up the inner corner of my eyes, I used By Terry's Ombre Blackstar Eyeshadow in Frozen Qartz (6) and a little bit of Hourglass' Ambient Lightening Palette in Incandescent Light on top to lock it in place. Then onto a small winged eyeliner with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Tropper

A bit of contouring, bronzing and blush from Nars' One Shocking Moment to give me a shape back to my face and a little bit of a rose cheeks. Going back to the Hourglass' Ambient Lightening Palette to give me a luminous glow on the high points of my face. Cheekbones, bridge of my nose and tip of my lips. I mainly use the middle and right colour of the palette but sometimes, I end up using all three. Last but not least, LIPS! I was tempted to do a red lip, however, keeping the soft and romantic look in mind made me opted for Tom Ford Lipstick in Spanish Pink.

Mascara (maybe some fluttery lashes), makeup setting spray, a cute outfit change and a lovely spritz of perfume, I'm out the door to meet my girlfriends for that nice glass of rose!

With or without a date.
What's your look for this Valentine's Day?

I'd love to see your look!
Don't have to use the same products I do.
