Travel Accessories

While travelling, I don't really bring much accessorise out to save on the weight and every little space counts right? I'm not one of those fashionista who'd bring a bajillion things to match. The least I know I must have are my watch, Fitbit, hair tie, at least two of my favourite rings, earrings, necklace and a friendship bracelet. Personally I find it more sentimental that way and really the essentials needed.

What are your favourite accessories to take along with you while travelling ?

Louis Vuitton Trunk Show

Bright in the morning with not too many people around to see the trunk show where we went. Was nice to be able to chit chat with a tea set and a cuppa coffee. It's always fun in the house of Louis Vuitton. After looking at the catwalk photo book, you guys, check out the eye makeup! Now that Marc Jacobs have step down as the artistic director of women's collections and replaced with Nicolas Chesquiere. You can definitely see the change of style since Marc Jacobs' left. The use of material and texture came as a surprise to me too!

Tea Set provided by Robuchon

I love these shades!!
Took a while to figure out how to wear this ring and bracelet combo, got there in the end!
Eel Leather!
I love the heel detailing! It's subtle but always so much easier to walk in a chunky heel

Many of the pieces were inspired by the 70's.
Many of the bigger sized bags do seem a lot lighter than the previous years have been! I like that they have many variations this season.

Check out their earrings and ear cuffs too!!

There is a green / khaki coloured version for this dress!! Very feminine and flowy indeed ! The bag she's holding is actually canvas! I couldn't believe my eyes at first because it really looked like leather in person (Photo Above).

Thank you to our lovely models !

Earring Craze

 Clockwise

Just coming to the end of the first week of February and I've been on a little bit of a search for some occasion appropriate and styling inspirational pieces. Few of my closest friends would know that I do actually have a weird obsession phase with jewelleries and this time, earrings! Last time when I had an earring obsession, I was looking for every with feathers and feathered earrings only. Weird huh? The latest trend like the ASOS | Butterfly Crystal Swing Earrings have been pretty popular and when I found this pair, perhaps I will wear something similar to my friend's spring wedding which is coming soon. If you don't want to buy them online, I've seen quite a few selections from Forever21 for a friendlier price range.

What really made me write this post was when my mom's trendy friend had these pearl on pearl earrings from Korea! They normally come with a massive faux pearl at the back of the ear. I've been trying to find one which is smaller and more for an everyday wear. The ASOS | Stone and Faux Pearl Double Earrings has definitely made the cut.

There are always times where I love to mix and match earrings whether they are studs, dangley or hoops. We all have times where we loose the odd ones. Like the Orelia Large | Wing and Stud, you can't go wrong with jeans, tee and a biker jacket either.

Hope you like these as much as I do.
What's your favorite jewellery piece at the moment?

January Favorites

Can't believe the first month of the year just went by with a blink of an eye! This January, I just decided to go back to basics, sometimes less is more right? Speaking of less, I probably went completely bare on the makeup side because I was flu'd up for about 2 weeks! What a way to start the new year too. And my favorite drink has definitely been Lemon and Honey with hot water. The honey I used was Meltiva's Organic Acacia Honey, nectar from French acacia flowers and it's organic, plus its a natural sweetener perfect for a sweet tooth like myself. Can't go wrong with it right?

On the back to basics note, every morning and night, this is the lip balm that's kept my lips very hydrated and it's literally become a part of my daily essential product. Also by Melvita, the 3 Honeys Nectar SOS Balm, not only delightful on the lips with a sweet orange and honey scent, I haven't had to do any lip masks or what so ever apart from the occasional lip scrub. It's been great on dry patches on my skin as well. The only thing I don't like about it is quite the obvious... it's in a tub and it kind of reminded me Vasaline but with a heavenly scent. For it's price, and the amount of usage, I haven't used half the tub yet and its been about 3 months.

There's no denying that nude colours are on the list, I've been obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Smokey Nudes Eye Palette. A little bit of soft matte and shimmery colours all in a box. I love that I can get a contoured eye day look to a smokey eye with a bit of  sparkle too! Pretty nice for my office girls which I've also recommended to.

I've never really hit pan on most bronzers unless I really love it that much and this is one of it! You'll probably have seen me mentioning about Physicians Formula's Bronze Booster in previous posts. I've got it in the shade Light to Medium so I can build the colour up when I want to look more tanned than the every day natural look. But like I said, this month, I've been gravitating towards the au natural look. Hopefully I can stock this up soon when I travel! It's hard to find a good bronzer which doesn't make me look like a glitter ball and just gives the right amount of glow. For a drugstore product, I'm definitely keeping it in my kit! The only thing I don't like about the packaging is how bulky it can be.

The last two products have definitely become a staple in my makeup routine. I use the L'Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in black, for my tight line. I do get watery eyes and through out the day, some of the product will eventually fade and smudge. But for the most of it, the liner's stayed put apart from the outer corner of my eyes after a long long day. I've also mentioned the Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in #1 Beige Shine (in Hong Kong, you can purchase Clio at BeautIQ by Watsons) before to hightlight the inner corner of my eyes and it makes me look more awake!

Also been absolutely loving Maroon 5's song Sugar !

What are your favs this month?
