Olé !

I love how traditional it really is but it really caught me off guard when I walked up a few steps to the entrance wooden door which was closed. I thought it was closed! It was weird to have the menu stand out and street lights on... Until I opened the door...

I do recommend to going in a group so you can try more of their tapas. After all, the more friends around, the more food you can normally try too! I must say though, it's definitely not as salty as I remember food was in Madrid.

I really liked how the chef has presented the Spanish Omelette because I've had the traditional (home cooked) style where it's served from the pan it was cooked in, still hot and delicious. Couldn't leave out the pork knuckles either, the crunchy pork skin and the meat was very tender. To be honest, there's so much more I'd love to try!

White Wine to start the meal off
Jabugo Ham
Spanish Omelette

Garlic Shrimp

Stuffed Button Mushrooms

Baby Squid

Mixed Seafood Paella
Pork Knuckles
Lobster Paella

I know churros are suppose to be served during breakfast but it's just as good as dessert!

Morning Skincare Routine

First thing I do, I definitely turn on some music to keep me going! So on my iPad, I have an app (TuneIn Radio) to listen to radio stations mainly from Atlanta and London! Keeps me updated with news and also the latest music at the same time! Okay, a lovely reader has asked me what my skin care routine is so here goes! Just a little bit about my skin type, I have combination skin, the typically oily on the T-zone and chin. Though, seasons change and our skin condition changes as well. This combination works well for my skin daily.
To start off with, obviously, good splash of water then using the following:

(1) Lancôme : Galateis Douceur
I've been using this line's products for almost 2 years and it's gentle for my skin. Two pumps of this is enough for my face and I gently massage the product to my face before I wipe everything off with some cotton pads. Afterwards, a good splashing of water on my face again to make sure all products are off! A clean face towel to dry my face and ready for some moisturizing actions.

(2) Lancôme : Tonique Douceur
After using this toner for such a long time, it seems to be one of those ones I always go back to after trying other ones. It's refreshing and soothes my skin especially after a day out in the sun. It's alcohol free too!

(3) GoodSkin Lab : Smooth 365
This is a pretty new addition into my skincare not too long ago, and at the moment I'm really liking it! Check out my review of it (here). I use just about a pea size of this product and concentrate mostly around my nose and cheek area. Letting it absorb and dry first before the next product.

(4) Bicelle : Hydra B5 Gel
Bicelle is another line of brands that I've used since my teenage years! It was my mom who introduced it to me at first and ever since then, I've never looked back to any other serums. I generally use three drops, one on each of  my cheeks and one on my forehead. Which is enough for my entire face and neck area. Let that absorb again before this...

(5) Clinique : Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + (DDML+)
The new DDML+ is really light for my skin and it's not sticky either. One pump is enough for my face and neck too! I love it even more that it's got a pump since most moisturizers comes in tubs or tubes.

(6) Galderma : Rozex Tropical Gel
I use this most when I get spots or the general rosacea on my nose and cheek area.

After which, some lip balm and then my makeup!

What is your skincare routine?

much love,

MAKE UP FOR EVER : Everything in HD

Held at the Harlan's (The One)

Many makeup artists trying out new products

Having fun at the instant photo booth
Cac Leung & myself
Check out Cac Leung's Facebook fanpage (here) ! Absolutely love her work!

Make Up For Ever's new launch for their High Definition (HD) range : Complexion Launch Workshop.
#nofilter #perfectskin

Personally, I haven't tried that many products by this brand, though I must say, I do love their fashion and stage makeups! Bright and stunning colours always catches my eye. Of all products there to view, I really like the new pressed powder (HKD$350)! All new products will be available from 1st March. The HD Concealer (HKD$280) has also caught my eye! You only need the littlest amount and it really does cover my panda eyes and doesn't leave much creased lines at all. As for the new blushes (HKD$260), the colours are very buildable. Overall, I had a blast view the new products and especially at the instant photo booth !!

What are your favorite Make Up For Ever products?

M.A.C Spring/Summer 2014 Trends

Top left : Prep + Prime Highlighter (Radiant Rose) | Lip Pencil (Dynamo) | Eye Kohl Crayon (Fascinating) |
Haute & Naughty Lash (Black) | Strobe Cream (Hydrant Lumineux) | Matte Eye Shadow (Carbon) |
Mineralize Blush (Dainty) | Face & Body Foundation (N1)

This is the first event I've attended since I've been out the hospital, I forgot how exciting it is to view new things that are coming to Hong Kong and most of all! The most exciting thing (to me at least) is that they are FINALLY going to have the Face and Body Foundation! You have no idea how frustrating it is when you see a brand coming out with new or old collections and its only available in the States or England. I know the Face and Body Foundation is not new to everyone but I know at least in Hong Kong, it's about time they had this collection here...!

Held at the Galerie Nec just on Hollywood Road, I'm loving all the lippies that were on the wall! The purple lip just reminds me of Rebel a lot (might wear that tonight)! This Spring and Summer season, still going for the natural glow, peeking your natural redness out, it's going to be all about lighting and radiance. On top of that, a wet and shiny look on the eyes but still looking very natural. Jet black liner with sparkles and what caught my eye the most is the lilac lips that's been created.

Thank you MAC for the lovely goodie bag after the event too!

What will your Spring and Summer look be?

Liebster Award

I have just had the honor and was nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely Rebekah from lovefromrhj! Exciting stuff indeed! I've been on and off my blog for quite some years now and only recently these two years have I really focused onto it. Here are the questions Rebekah asked.

1. What is your favourite book, and why?
Don't actually have one because I'm always up for reading new ones, though, I am just finishing on the book : The Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle. Very inspiring

2. What sort of perfumes do you tend to purchase?
Call me crazy but it really depends on my mood and the scent I try out.
At the moment, I'm wearing Victoria Secret: Bombshell

3. Where is your favourite place in the world, and why?
Too many to list! Plus I love to travel, but I will always go back to this saying "home is where the heart is"

4. If you were granted three wishes, what would they be?
This is hard... there are way too many wishes I wish I could make it come true.

- To inspire the people around me and hope that I have inspired you in some ways
- Wishing everyone will have something to smile about/for daily! One happy thing can always lighten up one's life
- Get my illness in control and move back to LONDON!

5. You can only have one of the three things, which would it be: Foundation, Perfume or a Hairbrush.
Perfume. Don't mind going out without foundation and most of my friends say I look like I have the out of bed head all the time.

6. Why did you decide to start a blog?
It started of as a diary and much of it was private until a few of my friends really have inspired me to give it another go publicly.

7. Describe your style.
I change my style alot! Guess it really depends on my mood whether I wanted to be casual or dressy that day. From aztec to formal pencil skirts! Totally love mixing everything up! On a casual day to day basic just to run errands, can never go wrong with a tee, jeans and a pair of loafers or vans with a bold lippie.

8. Where do you like to shop?
Don't have particular places, you know, the usual shops you normally go to (Topshop, H&M, Zara, ASOS, Sheinside, Wasteland, etc). Pretty standard ones but I will say this. I love going to different shops and boutiques in the local area to see what they have to offer, even if they can be last season, vintage or new, I love a good piece which I know I can mix it up with so many different styles and layer it! If you're lucky like I am, and have similar sizes with your own parent(s). There are always a piece or two that catches your attention! or maybe even borrow them (;

9. Describe your bedroom.
Peaceful, calm. I still share a room with my sister, so it's gotta be clean but filled with treasures

10. What are your most loved possessions?
Life, Family, Friends and Photos

After going through emergency in November, I wrote two pieces of (Luck in Life Part 1 and Part 2).
The order of what I love most have definitely changed!

11. And finally, do you prefer a relaxing night in with your pyjamas, or a crazy night out?
How about a PYJAMA PARTY?!

I nominate the following :
The World Of Pequentia_Steph
Kyla Rattin
Kristen Berk
Becky Hart
Cliona Hill
Lauren Lindley
Emma and Josephine

Here are my questions to you:
1. Which clothing brand will you always go for, no matter what?

2. Top 5 favorite makeup products! and why?

3. Describe what paradise is to you.

4. What's in your bag right now?

5. Which places would you love to travel to?

6. One quote you always live by.

7. One thing you will never wear, and why?

8. What are your favorite drinks you will always order?!
(ie: cocktail, mocktail, coffee, etc)

9. If you could change one thing about this world. What would it be and why?

10. Tell me one weird fact about you

11. If you could treat yourself once a month with anything, what would it be?
(ie. spa, luxury items, makeup, )

Review : GoodSkin Labs Smooth 365

I have used this product before but apparently, they have changed the formula since then...? At least that is what the lovely sales lady have told me in Sasa (equivalent to Boots in UK). It claims to have 3 out of 4 tested with their skin smoother in 4 weeks time and visible reduction lines and wrinkles after 8 weeks. I don't have that many wrinkles considering how old I am now but I wouldn't mind getting my pores smaller. It also says the ingredients can attack dullness and uneven skintone helping skin to boost it's natural collagen.  Containing Palmitoyl Oligopeptide/Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 in the formula to help reduce the look of wrinkles, plus, oil and fragrance free. Retailed for HKD$360, but if you're a Sasa VIP member, I believe they are doing a promotion just this February. In Hong Kong, we can only get GoodSkin Labs exclusively at Sasa.

Been only about 2 weeks since I've started using this product and my skin really does feel a lot smoother and visible pores have been a lot smaller than usual. It says it's fragrance free but when I apply it, there is a scent to it but it's not like it's unbearable. Does really just smell like going into a pharmacy or some sort.  It really does absorb very quickly into the skin, so after applying toner, I apply this product only at my problem areas (around my nose, cheeks, chin and forehead) before any serum and moisturiser. Check back in a few weeks to see if there are any more improvements or not!

Have you tried this before?

OPI : Eurso Eurso

Just because it's the month of Valentine's, doesn't mean everything has to be pink or in rouge from head to toe. I think you should have what ever colour that makes you feel happy the most and this week I've been feeling kina blue. Don't get me wrong, though with all the things been going on with me, doesn't stop myself from getting a good painting on my nails. I like how in a different light, it can give off a slight hint of purple colour. I get most of my OPI nails from a boutique shop in Island Beverly in Causeway Bay cause they normally have a promotion on and there, I can also buy my skincare essentials for the fraction of it's price too! When I'm doing dark colours, be sure to file and buff your nails a little bit, does help to prevent from getting little air bubbles and lumps when the paint is drying.

What colour will you be wearing for St. Valentines?
