Sunday Riley "Luna"

It's taken me a while to decide whether to post this review or not. I know Sunday Riley has been on the market for a while and I'm a late one to give a review to this product. Nevertheless, I thought I'd share my experience anyway.

I have researched a few ways in using this night oil and I have had trouble with it. Yes. We all know it's blue. The trouble I had with it was, I wasn't able to get oil sink into my skin. I was told to try putting it on before bed after moisturising but that didn't work well for me. It just seemed like a layer of oil on top of my skin when I woke up. I started using the product around April and now, I've only been able to find a solution to my problem. When I was back in Hong Kong, the weather was definitely too humid for this product, now that I'm back in London, it does help slightly with dry- dehydrated skin.

So instead, I decided to mix three drops of the Sunday Riley Luna into my mosituriser during my night routine and it finally worked. Incorporating it does help blend into my skin better too.  Few drops goes a long way and this bottle's got a long way to go.

Slightly intimidating to put Blue Tansy + Retinol but I do highly recommend using SPF products in the morning after. I have tested it for about a month in the sun without SPF in products and my freckles really did appear more than usual.

For now, I'll keep using it in my night routine till it's finished, I don't think be repurchasing it unless a miracle happens. It is pricey, but it's lasted me months and I still have more than half a bottle full.

Yolkin : Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

This week has definitely been way way wayyyyyyy too hot here in London! So glad I finally had the chance to try Yolkin's ice cream sandwiches

With a macaron shell instead of a cookie, they change their flavors weekly so check their instagram (HERE) for flavor and location updates and I could not resist on having one of my favorites.
Mint Chocolate Chip.

The macaron shell is not too sweet with just right texture with the melting ice cream under the blazing hot sun. Size of the whole ice cream sandwich itself is just the perfect size for a dessert. I will say though, still can't beat my favorite of all time. Laduree's Ispahan.

I'm not asked to advertise for them but for a weekend treat in this summer heat, who doesn't want to have something sweet, cooling and refreshing too right?!

Only serving on Saturday and Sundays
 Current Location:
Siam Eatery
24 Wellington Street
(Right opposite to Sophie's Steak House)

Remember, it's a first come first serve basis, so don't miss out on it during the weekend. And keep up-to-date with where their location is. because it's a pop up store without it's own shop.

June Favorites

June has been a weird one since being back in London, I haven't really found new things on the makeup side of things, perhaps it's the settling back in routine and getting back into work.

No matter, time for an upgrade with my phone! Had my eyes set on a a marble case for a while and I found this one from Society6. Slightly different from the usual all white chic marble but I like the gold tones it gives in different light. Click here to check it out

I've been wearing this Orelia necklace most of this month and definitely a favorite of mine this summer too. I haven't been able to find the exact same one but Nylon does a very similar one (Click Here) to check it out

I have had this Tuck In Leather Cardholder from &otherstories for a while. More of a 're'discovery for me since I haven't had the chance to use it for the longest time.

Don't think I can ever had a monthly favorites without any lipsticks. One I've always loved and worn is Nars' Sheer Lipstick in Gipsy. I've already lost count how many I've repurchased it too. The colour is slightly more rosy on the lips but not to the point where it looks like I have a bold red lips.

Apart from these things, being back in London has been one of my favorites.

When® Mask Review

When I was travelling in Korea, I did pass by some beauty and cosmetic shops which sold these When® sheet masks. Don't know why during my last trip in Korea, I bought nothing apart from a few items which were requested by my family. Maybe it was because I knew I was travelling again and didn't want to leave it to waste.

First reaction when I saw 'Travelmate' and read it's purpose for the skin, I couldn't help myself and use it first. After all, I did travel back to London from an 11.5 hour flight. Timing could not be better.

On 'Travelmate', it claims to sooth and refresh skin from UV rays, wind and dry cabin air.
Key Ingredients : Chamomile Flower Water, Swiss Alpine Herb Extract

Following it's instructions, The Bio-Cellulose Mask is between a paper sheet and plastic film layer.

My first initial thoughts were, I can understand a plastic film layer to protect the mask itself, however, another paper sheet layer?

Be prepared for the shock horror of having a mask on!

After unfolding the bio-cellulose mask, it felt like a gel sheet mask on my face. Overall, it was easy enough to handle and smooth over any folds or lump areas. Because of my face shape, I did find that I was not able to cover half of my chin area. Nevertheless, after 30 minutes of relaxation, my skin did feel very refreshed and definitely not as dehydrated. I would say, after a long flight, the 'Travelmate' gives a quick hydration to go through the day before putting some makeup on for the rest of the day.

It does say on the package that 'No Rinse' after taking the mask off and to massage the remaining product into the face and neck.
Which I did, though, my preference, with any mask, I do wipe it off so I can apply my normal skincare.

My final verdict, as easy and travel friendly as this mask is, I can only say (for myself) it was only a temporary and quick hydration. Can definitely use before an event so that my makeup applies better.
