All products listed below are all Marc Jacobs Beauty of course.

Primer : Under(Cover)
Highlight : Dew Drops
Foundation : Re (Marc) Able
Concealer : Remedy Concealer Pen
Contour : #instamarc\
Bronzer : O!mega Bronze
Eyeshadow : Eye-Conic Palette

Thank you Influsenster for the complimentary makeover with Marc Jacobs Beauty at John Lewis.
Also got a small gift of the Marc Jacobs too. The Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

Truth be told. I've never really tried anything other than the Marc Jacobs eye shadow sticks and lipsticks. So trying this mascara was very different for me because I do tend to stick to what I like with the eyes. Especially when I have very watery eyes and oily lids. What happens is, everything will run down like I've had a dramatic cry. Somehow, this has kept on pretty well for the day and even with the formula, I must say. I'm beginning to like it. The surprising part for me is the brush itself. Knowing my experience with mascara brushes, this is surprisingly coating my lashes pretty well even when I have the stubborn short, straight Asian lashes.

Let me know what you think of the makeover from the before and after photo.

Thank you influsenter again for the little makeover and mascara to try!

Birthday Makeup

I've kept it very simple this year with my birthday makeup. Sometimes less is more and it lasts me the whole day.

Base : Bobbi Brown Vitamin Face Base
Foundation : Nars Matte Velvet Stick
Concealer : MAC Studio Concealer
Contour : Becca Lowlight Sculpting Perfector
Eyes : Urban Decay Ultimate Palette & Becca in Moonstone
Liner : Chanel in pencil & Love liner
Brows : Bobbi Brown Brow Gel (Auburn)
Mascara : L’Oréal Butterfly
Lips : Kryolan Dahlia Cheek and Lip tint

Hair wise, the normal curls I like to set with tongs and pining it to set before letting it loose to keep it voluminous and smooth. Products I'm loving at the moment for hair are Wella EIMI Extra Volume  for volume and body and as always L'Oreal hair products (Elnett) never fail to impress me either to keep my curls in place.

I can't thank those enough who have been here and around whom have supported me mentally through what have been quite a long journey from when I've found out I'm one in a gazillion to have the illness I have.

Best cure is to Live, Laugh & Love.
Nothing beats a good laughter when you're surrounded with love around you to live longer.
Does make sense to most right?

Most Used this Halloween

A post shared by Stephanie Silv. Lui (@stephlui88) on

One of my favorites of all times for October, as anyone would, during Halloween to create any looks, I love to use the Makeup Forever Flash Palette. It's cream based and very easy to blend the colours needed and a little does go a long way.

I've had this for a while now (sounds a bit gross) but with good hygiene and well kept in storage, this palette will last.

Just That Extra Step

Even though I already have thick hair that needs to be thinned out. That's not the point here.
The point is, this works in just a couple of washes, the effect shows when you style your hair especially with a good old blow dry and curling your hair.

I like the fact that I can work it into my roots and wash it out after shampoo and conditioning. Who knew just that extra 5 minutes in the shower can do. I also like the fact that I don't have to use as much products as a prep for my hair on the day when I style it as well. One thing I wish it had within the product is moisturise. Does feel like I have to use more serum at the ends of my hair.

Just that one extra step, made such a difference.

There is no secret to my skin care. It's the first and last thing that has to happen when I wake up and after a shower before bed.

Personally, I use it like a toner even if it says facial spray on the bottle. Its one of those products where I will always go back to after trying different ones. Why? Because it's calming when my skin feels sensitive and hydrates at the same time. On top of that, who doesn't love to feel refreshed with the scent of rose?

Do not fear, it's good for all skin types. I have used it on all my clients and none have complained about this product at all. This is also one of those products where I can use it as a toner, spray to refresh my makeup through out the day for the dewy effect.

Taming Frizz

Having had my hair dyed in the colours of the rainbow, safe to say that my hairs gone very dry and crispy at the ends when I don't do enough masks weekly for my hair to look as silky smooth and soft. SO!
With so many different types and brands of daily products which I have used and tried, so far, this is the best of them which I can easily get in a drugstore and it's friendly to my wallet.

Because I wash my hair everyday, after towel drying, a good couple of sprays. I tend to do less than 10 sprays because of the thickness and length of my hair while I section my hair even distrubution too. Comb through it with a trusty Tangle Teezer or Wet Brush, before I either leave my hair to dry naturally or blow dry thoroughly.

Like to Chill

Even on Spotify, I do tend to like some remixes and of course, when I like something, I'd share as much as I can!

Apart from Chill Out Music, check out Trap Nation too!

Burst of Colours

It's been way too long since I've had a proper post on and working as a Freelance Makeup Artist now, I've seem to have less time to do what I love too. Write.
Every since going full time as a makeup artist, I have had the privilege to try out many different types of products. When this palette was out in the market end of last year, I haven't stopped using it. It may not have the usual natural colours you look for but the vibrate ones which blends and doesn't seem too chalky. Certain colours will always be chalky but over all, it's bearable.

Pigmented and colourful. can't go wrong with that.
It's quickly turned into one of those go to palettes when I'm required to use some quirky colours on the job especially when my director wanted everything orangey, redish and yellowy.
Yes Yes. Even I laughed on that when that was described to me in person.

Dare to try some colourful tones?

Instagram Glitch

Hey Guys!

Sorry for the long wait from any updates from me, there has been a problem with instagram so I haven't been able to post as usual. If they said you've violated their terms like me... DON'T PANIC. Just head online and search for "Instagram hacked", this should lead you to a help link from their site.

Go on there and click on "Report it to us"
From there you fill in a form and move on from there.

Alot of my friends and colleagues have had the same issues.
So don't worry. All in the same boat!

But I'm back on now! Any problems, don't be shy and leave me a message down below at the comments

May The Force Be With You

If you've been watching Star Wars like I have since childhood, you'd totally go to to this exhibition to see the original works on how the story and characters came to be and what was even more interesting were the original sketches being on displayed.

If you're interested, this exhibition (CLICK HERE) is on until September 3rd 2017

Got my headsets on and a wrist band with a fob to build your own character.
It was good that there were different information fed to you when you walk past certain drawings or characters from the movie. Keeps it interesting and especially, keeping the kids (or big kid like myself) interested without reading everything (even if I don't mind reading everything displayed).

Following the Stars

Which planet do you want to be from?
As boring as I can be, I chose to remain human.

The most interesting that goes on with this is seeing what other people choose. Whether they end up choosing to be with the force or the characters given like a Jedi, Senator or even a Bounty Hunter.

As geeky as I can be, this is one of the coolest parts of the exhibition, the model ships and fighter jets.

If you do end up going, even I didn't realize whom Master Yoda was based upon up until now. It kind of make sense now that I think back of it and how he looks.

In the end, you get to have a look back at the character you've custom designed for yourself.

Note* I've only picked a few photos from the exhibition for you to see, there's a lot more than what I've posted.

Happy New Year!

2016 just went by so quickly that I haven't even had time to party either.
Instead, I was working but hey! I'm taking a few days off while everyone else is back to work.

Wishing you all a happy 2017 and I hope this year it'll bring the better!
