Day Photos in Spitalfields Market & Brick Lane

Definitely want to get one of these when I'm back !
With my mom, myself, my bestie & dad
Before having a walk to have a look at Brick Lane, the closest place to have food is Spitalfields Market. Shocking that I've never been, just shows how much I don't know London anymore! or the fact that I've never had the chance to go or just never had the time or chance to venture out there. It's been forever since I've been to Smiths of Smithfield (SOS) . Use to love going to the main bar/restaurant down in Farringdon. If you know where Fabric is, then you'll know where it is.

I find Spitalfields Market like a indoor version of Portobello Market. I couldn't get too many photos since we went there quite early, most of them didn't open up until we left when we finished lunch at Smiths.

Mini Haul : Makeup

No surprise to the first makeup purchase back in London for me!! First stop, Boots and Superdrug! I've already seen a lot of things that I already love and want to try. I think my brain is going insane and my eyes were shining as if I've seen diamonds row after row. I've actually resisted quite a bit and I thought I should wait till next time for the next shopping spree. Not going to lie, there are quite a few makeup brushes that I've had my eyes on since I last left London.

Most exciting thing for me is the Sleek and Rimmel products because 1) you can never get it in Hong Kong, 2) I always love their colours plus almost everything else! I've been wanting and looking forward to getting some Soap & Glory products too!

So! Here's what I got this time. Don't be shocked if there's going to be another one coming up... I just love to get the ones unavailable in Hong Kong.

I love a good afternoon tea & my friend that I haven't seen over 10 odd years have definitely proven to me that there are still really good ones in Central London ! with a price though. I have eaten at Sketch with my parents for a dinner many years ago and it still surprises me with their quirkiness and without a doubt, I love their teacups displays! For a late afternoon which we started after 3, neither of us needed dinner afterwards! It's always a pleasure to celebrate with a cuppa tea and loads of goodies and sweetness! Neither of us could finish the tea set, it's the Afternoon Tea for Two at £62 but a well deserved one too since it was her birthday!! We sat in The Parlour by the window chatting away and reminiscing about our childhood and school days. What an afternoon it was.

Mini Haul : &otherstories

After having a lovely afternoon tea with one of my oldest classmates from Hong Kong all the way in London. I couldn't help myself and got little goodies from &OtherStories which I've been hearing about on Youtube and Bloggers! I love how simple and dainty a lot of the jewellery were! They are also on SALE (click here) at the moment too! Just wished they would deliver to overseas! There's only one shop on Regent Street in London so I'll have to make the most of it since I'm here! I love their fashion there too but when I was there last, the queue was too long to try some pieces on, so I'm really hoping they're not all gone just yet!

Just like Cos, they are part of H&M which I think it's very reasonable for their price and materials used! I've used my oyster card holder for about 10 years now. You know, the typical black, plastic, flimsy card holder that just says oyster card on both sides and I think I've used it to it's death day now. I've finally found a good one that I know I'll use and keep for another 10 years I hope!

Both rings I got were £12 each and the leather card holder in beige was £9 on sale

No doubt you'll be seeing me in there again soon!

Honest Burgers

Sheppy's Somerset Cider and Homemade Lemonade

Went for a walk down in Portobello Market with my parents on Saturday and too bad the weather was just a little overcast. I must say, I do really feel like I've never left all these years but everything seems to have changed at the same time... Get what I'm saying..?

Honest Burgers (click here), hidden behind all the street stalls during the weekend and we went in when we actually passed by. There weren't a lot of seats and we were definitely lucky to get counter seats when we walked in.

Not too many choices but one of the best things about these kind of restaurants, you don't have to over think what to have! They were all just as good. Love the fact that they give you a choice of gluten free bread too! Though, I can't help but think a good burger should have a proper bun. I had the Honest burger and loved the onion rings. Was a little disappointed with the beet and apple coleslaw... felt like something was missing with the flavor. Fries (chips) salted with rosemary was just a little soggy for mine, maybe I just prefer crunchy chips on the outside, still fluffy in the middle. Definitely going back for more when I get a chance!

Long Weekend in Brighton - Part 2

View from the Breakfast area

I decided to go for the Mini Full English with muffins / opposite to me is the American Pancakes

So so lucky that the weekend only rained on Saturday morning and the rest was just history (more like just very sunny). Slowly made our way to the pier a little after our breakfast. Went pass the fishing museum and saw one of the scariest puppets in my life....

After a walk at the pier, we went into the museum near the palace pavilion and viewed some of the history of Brighton too, as well as many other art and collections left there.

I laughed because of the placing of the measuring tape in 3500BC

Sat down at the pub near the palace pavilion for a drink before the tour inside
World Naked Bike Ride
Naked bicyclers and runners protests against car culture and oil dependency

Couldn't resist another bubble tea
Dinner at Fishy Fishy
Calamari | Grilled Squid
We shared a Hot Seafood Platter

Cocktails back at the hotel in the Cocktail Shack
Leaving back to London, wished we didn't have to go back and stay down in Brighton under the sun.

Cheeky purchase

Last brunch by the beach before heading back to London
